What is RED-BASE™?

At RED-BASE™, we are redefining the construction industry with our state-of-the-art building base material. Designed in Canada and crafted in France, RED-BASE™ offers an innovative, high-performance alternative to traditional backing boards, including cement boards, gypsum boards, fiber-cement boards, bricks, stones, and traditional cement. RED-BASE™ is a lightweight, high-performance XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) material with a closed-cell foam structure. Coated with cementitious layers and reinforced with fiberglass mesh, RED-BASE™ offers enhanced strength and durability for all construction applications.

​This composition makes RED-BASE™ waterproof, impact-resistant, and highly insulating, with excellent mold resistance. It is sterile with antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and has strong adhesion, making it ideal for critical areas like hospitals, clinics, and surgical operation rooms, as well as all wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, saunas, and spas, ensuring hygiene and durability for both walls and floors.

Additionally, it is a vegan construction material, containing no animal-derived ingredients. RED-BASE™ is recyclable through a process that includes collection, sorting, cleaning, and shredding.
